Most people start browsing neighborhoods, housing style that they like. Without getting a pre-approval you don’t know if you are looking out of your price range, wasting your time or your realtor’s time. You might also be looking below your price range, and not identifying the right home for you. If you start out by getting the pre-approval you can sort by price, neighborhood, and ultimately finding the right house faster.
Once you find the right house the process is simple. With the Pre-approval letter, submitted with your officer the seller is more likely to take you more seriously. Without that pre-approval letter the seller may question weather or not you are qualified to purchase the home and may consider another offer instead of yours.
